Freestanding or integrated installation
The unit is freestanding and can be positioned on a suitable work surface or incorporated into an existing braai area. This also provides a convenient option for homeowners looking to convert an existing wood-burning braai space to gas without completely redesigning the entertainment area. The Griller can also be inserted into a prebuilt chimney breast, allowing it to become part of a more permanent built-in braai installation.
Ceramic sear burner
Signi Fires Griller models from size 770 upwards are supplied standard with one ceramic sear burner. Unlike a conventional burner, the ceramic sear burner produces intense heat almost immediately. This makes it particularly useful when preparing steaks and other meats where a beautifully caramelised exterior is desired while retaining moisture and juiciness inside. The Signi Fires Griller gas braai was the first South African braai to incorporate this type of ceramic burner technology.
Quality stainless steel construction
The Signi Fires Griller Gas Braai is manufactured from stainless steel throughout. The standard model is produced using grade 304 stainless steel, while a grade 316 stainless steel option is available where additional resistance to corrosion is required. Signi Fires specifies that its griller braais are manufactured entirely from either grade 304 or grade 316 stainless steel, without incorporating lower-grade 430 stainless steel into other parts of the unit. The result is a premium stainless-steel braai designed with durability, performance and appearance in mind.
No electrical connection required
The Griller Gas Braai is equipped with self-igniting knobs and burners as standard. No electrical connection is required for operation, helping to keep installation and everyday use straightforward. For safety and compliance, the gas braai must be installed by a registered LPGAS installer.
Cooker dome and rotisserie options
Owners can further expand the versatility of their Griller with optional accessories. A cooker dome and rotisserie can be purchased separately and custom-made to suit the Griller. In addition to providing additional cooking possibilities, these accessories complement the braai’s sleek stainless-steel appearance.
Extraction and flue options
The Signi Fires Griller is designed to operate using natural draft when installed on a suitable work surface or within a prebuilt chimney breast.
Where the installation requires a flue system or motorised extraction, an extraction canopy or gather can be fitted to the braai. When a gather is specified, suitable flue pipes must also be installed, either with or without a motorised extraction system depending on the installation requirements.
